The proposed outlet malls at Exit 28 in Simpsonville are irresponsible development. Neither one are in compliance with the Comprehensive Plan due to the proposed road. It is the job of the Planning & Zoning to assure that Shelby Co citizens have safe and efficient roads. The proposed road will be unsafe and inefficient for those citizens who must drive through the confusing maze of lane changes, intersections, and traffic lights. The traffic surveys that were performed have many unanswered questions. The value of homes and property will be negatively affected. There are already people trying to sell their houses before the mauls and the ill-designed road are constructed. They will be hard to sell! Thank you, Jamie Jarboe
Two outlet mauls at exit 28 is irresponsible development. If you haven’t heard anything negative about this, you haven’t been to any of the P&Z meetings on rezoning or the public meetings held by Horizon Group or Paragon Group. This will bring terrible traffic and change the whole of rural horse-country Shelby Co. Come and talk to the residents who will be forced to drive through this area on a regular basis. You won’t be able to sell the wonderful houses after the mauls are built. The mauls are very bad for Shelby Co.
