Watch for your neighbors, only you know what looks different in your neighborhood

Over the past month we have had a large increase in the number of residential burglaries. These burglaries have all occurred in the day time hours. The main areas of concern are the south west section of the county(Fisherville Road, Veechdale Road, Buckcreek Road area).The only information at this time is that a Green Ford (full size) pickup truck (occupied by two white males about mid 30’s) with possible IN plates was used in a burglary about 2 weeks ago on Fisherville Road. The other area of concern is the east side of the county (Cropper, Bagdad, Waddy area.) We have had calls of suspicious activity near Peytona area on a white 4 door car (possible a Hyundai) and a grey mini van occupied by a white female and 2 white males. These subjects stated they worked for Direct TV but had no professional clothing on and did not present any identification and parked in a obscure part of the property before approaching the home. If you have had any suspicious interaction with people over the past month we encourage you to call our office and report it. You may have important information that helps solve these break-in’s.
