We see this all the time with auto manufacturing plants: NEW JOBS COMING TO THE AREA but most of those new jobs are snatched up by UAW transferees from another plant and don’t let me get on a rant about unions and the UAW in particular.
The big questions is….Will locals get the opportunity to have the jobs? Or will transfers from Louisville get the lion share? We need to understand the management will come into the area from other plants as they have company knowledge and experience. I personally have an 18 year old child in the work force and would jump at the opportunity to earn more than he currently is at a factory in Shelbyville.
Will it affect our Real estate market in Shelby county?
